Gottifredi Maffioli manufactures a wide range of high quality ropes, braids, twins and twisted yarns made of high tenacity synthetic fibres. Thanks to our extensive experience, our comprehensive range of machinery and our constant activity of testing of new materials and development of innovative techniques, we are capable of producing nearly any type of rope, from tiny sewing threads to large diameter mooring lines.

Since 1954, when we supplied the Italian expedition to the top of the K2, our name is linked to great sports challenges. During the last years our products went aboard the most celebrated boats, racing regattas such as the America's Cup, the Admiral's Cup, the Sardinia Cup, the Route du Rhum, the Whitbread and the Aroundalone, just to give a few examples.		Gottifredi Maffioli S.p.A. has always been deeply involved in producing particular products to fulfil specific needs of many industrial activities. During the years, we developed an extremely wide range of ropes and braids made from H.T. synthetic fibres, which have been satisfactorily used in many fields: paper-mills, rubber transformation, automobile and electromechanical industries, sailmakers, fishing and many others.		Since the beginning, production of twines for fishing nets has represented an important portion of our activity. Seventy years of experience have evidently proved effective and "Gottifredi Maffioli" is now considered by many fishermen as a synonymous with quality.		Quality controls and products testing are fundamentally important to us. In a modern lab, our technical staff systematically analyses the main properties of all the raw materials that we use and of the products made from them. Particular equipment helps us to collect a huge amount of data about the mechanical resistance of each rope and about its durability and reliability in time.
