Gottifredi Maffioli new official member of EuroCord

Gottifredi Maffioli Eurocord Member

The Italian company, headquartered and producing in Novara, Italy, joins this European Association, making clear its transversal involvement in the rope sector. This participation goes beyond the nautical world, in which it is the undisputed leader for quality and innovation of its fibre technology solutions.

Gottifredi Maffioli has become an official member of Eurocord, the European association of rope, yarn and netting manufacturers, which also includes suppliers and related industries.

This association, through various initiatives, aims to:

  • Promote dialogue and exchange in fields of common interest
  • Defend EU members against unfair competition
  • Study and solve common problems of general interest
  • Collect and disseminate publicly available technical information among its members

Eurocord is an international reference point for companies in the sector, which actively participate in the association’s activities.

Why did Gottifredi Maffioli decide to become a member of Eurocord?

For decades the company has been bringing together technology, craftsmanship and tailor-made solutions to create excellent results, which is why it calls itself a ‘Ropes Boutique‘.

The Gottifredi Maffioli headquarters is a platform for innovation where companies seeking to develop new types of fibres, and end users eager for advanced solutions, meet and find professionals capable of transforming what they have imagined into reality.

This technical expertise is recognised by the company’s suppliers, who entrust it with exclusive projects to test and launch new products.

Among the different paths taken is the transformation of revolutionary new fibres such as Zylon, Dyneema® SK78, SK90 and SK99 into new products that have changed the market.

Some of Gottifredi Maffioli’s recent projects include collaborations with international research organisations such as ESA (European Space Agency) and in Italy with CNR (National Research Council), INFN (National Institute of Nuclear Physics) and INGV (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology).

This gives rise to two pieces of evidence supporting the company’s entry into Eurocord:

The company’s expertise and experience in the sector, its willingness and readiness to participate in European tables where it can share this know-how and make a tangible contribution to the evolution of the sector

The company’s presence in sectors beyond the nautical sector, where its name is most recognised, to affirm its transversal role linked to the various sectors in which it is already active, such as automotive, lifting, and many others.

  • Actively participate in continuous dialogue and exchange in fields of common interest within Eurocord
  • Strengthen synergies at European level
